The optional Box springs frame is made of naturally dried pinewood with a steel coil system. It is then covered with a natural organic cotton batting and then organic cotton mattress fabric that matches the mattresses.Box Springs are approximately 7" thick. 

The standard Natural Dreams Mattress is 7"-8" thick. For more plushness, we also offer an option to add 2" of 100% natural latex on the top and 2" of natural latex on the bottom of the mattress making it 10-11" thick. If you do not want any latex, then do not add the natural latex pillowtop.
